I have always had a love/hate relationship with September. My love for summer runs deep and I like to prolong it for as long as possible.
We typically vacation the week of Labor Day so while everyone is rushing into Fall and the back to school frenzy I feel as if my summer beach time is just beginning.
Though I dread the ending of August, I do appreciate the energetic shift September brings. As with all transitions however, I like to gradually usher in the change.
I find the color sage to be a great one of transition. It signifies a gentle sense of renewed beginnings, fresh starts & energetic cleansing.
It allows for a soft shift into a new season and it is such an easy shade to introduce into any color palette.
I love pairing sage with both lighter creamier hues like ivory & dusty rose and conversely with rich toned brass & chestnut. (See the inspiration in my September Moodboard).
